20 Fun Stocking Stuffers for Kids & Tweens

I love Christmas, and in particular, Christmas stockings! In my mind, stocking stuffers are where we have fun. We get a little ridiculous and silly and really enjoy it. Sure, I like to stick in some things that we “need” and I always include one thing to “read,” but the surprise gifts that encourage play and joy always seem to be the most heartening come Christmas morning.

In starting to shop, I recalled that our post ‘Easter basket ideas you still have time to get’ was such a big hit and we heard from so many about how useful it was. So I thought I’d pop in today with some of our favorite stocking stuffers for kids and tweens.

A note on the links below: they all take you to Amazon. I truly try to give local businesses as much love, particularly during holiday shopping, as I can. But I am also a realist and I am aware that if you can click and order it right now, I am making your life way easier! If purchasing from Amazon makes your life better, please proceed!

If you prefer to avoid Amazon, of course, please use these ideas for your holiday shopping and inspiration.

Avocado Erasers

These are just so much fun to use, bringing a smile every time they come out. And, let’s face it, erasers get used a lot.

Flying Monkeys

These scream as you pull them back, then go spring-shoting through the air. Loud and hilarious for Christmas morning.

Body Wipes

I have two boys who do sports. We love these.

Harry Potter Candy: Chocolate Frogs, Bertie Botts Every Flavour Jelly Beans

It’s fun to have something sweet in the stocking, but these seem to bring more excitement than a lot of the more “traditional” candies for my Potter fans.

LEGO Dot Bracelets

For boys and girls, these bracelets offer fun year-round as you can change the designs easily.

Word Around Game

This game travels easily, makes for a good party game, and it easy to use in an inclusive way. We love it.

Hex Bug

My youngest wants a robot (and has for a while). We got him this a few Christmases ago, and he still enjoys his little robot bug.

Stickers for water bottles

We put stickers on water bottles, binders, and suitcases. Basically, on anything that we can personalize.

One Question a Day

Our kids have done a version of this for years, and looking back on the ones from their littler days has been such a great keepsake. Additionally, these make for good conversation starters with the kids.

Funny Socks

Their feet grow fast, and they always need socks, so why not introduce some with personality!

Lee Press-On Nails

I ADORED these as a kid, and even this multipack here has me thinking I’d like to get some again.

Lottery Tickets

Our kids think it is so much fun to scratch off tickets and dream of winning millions. Of course, we never win, but the excitement is still real. Plus, who knows? Maybe someday.

6-in-1 Retractable Pen

My son came home with one of these from the school “store” and I immediately recalled how much fun I had with these, too, when I was a kid.

Gum

The more ridiculous the gum, the better. My kids like Gum Tape, Big League Chew, Fruit Stripes sorts of throwbacks.

Light up yo-yo

I have been shocked by how much fun we’ve been having with yo-yos through the years (it’s even a Scouts merit badge program). A light-up one is even better!

Fashion Dress Up Sticker/Activity Book

It travels, is hours of fun, and has over 700 stickers! For any creative soul, this is such a fun stocking stuffer.

Funny mints

Because obviously!

Keychain Video Games

I know, these are the sorts of things that break so quickly in the scheme of life but, honestly, they bring so much joy and fun!

Stackable Rings

I want these for myself! So many fun ways to accessorize!

Lean into the fun on Christmas morning and allow the stockings to encourage play and joy. Happy holidays, families!
